NOTE: Before anything else, let me send out a HUGE thank you to everyone who wished me happiness on my birthday. I greatly appreciate it and I’m very glad to have shared a little bit of me with you on my 25th, so thank you again!

On this Tuneage Tuesday, I have two words for you: Linkin Park! Yet another instance where I’m shocked I waited this long to reveal my complete and total obsession with these boys … and, believe it or not, I’m quite serious when I say that.
I was in high school when I first fell in love with LP and since then, I have witnessed this amazing act in concert five times in four states — near home in Pennsylvania, at Jones Beach (Long Island, NY), at Giants Stadium (East Rutherford, NJ) and twice in Charlotte. And I departed each of those crazy nights with a sore throat from screaming my lungs out a deeper amazement for these fellas. They truly are my guilty pleasure, and, today, I share with you my absolute favorite song by them from their 2002 album, Meteora.

Damn it. I make fun of Fiancee all the time for his nerdy obsession with bands like Linkin Park and then you go and post a Linkin Park song that I’m actually really digging. Thanks a lot for proving me wrong.
Also, this song kind of makes me want to work out. Weird?

@Sara, Sorry… But I will be honest, not all of their stuff sounds like this. Their newer material is MUCH different. I still love it, but it’s certainly not for everyone.
And this song nearly always makes me want to move, somehow. Definitely not weird that you want to work out. Maybe add it to your playlist?

“three states — near home in Pennsylvania, at Jones Beach (Long Island, NY), at Giants Stadium (East Rutherford, NJ) and twice in Charlotte.”

@Joseph,
I’m counting 3. Near home at Long Beach (NY), Giants Stadium (NJ), and 2x in NC.

@Mindy,
Ah… I was thinking that near home was near Long Beach. Gotcha.

Sorry, but I couldn’t resist. Comes from reviewing things at work & making sure that everything reads correctly. Though usually it is in legalesse which is not as clear as your writing. have a good one!

Merely reading the word Linkin Park brought back memories of the particular years in high school when I listened to them. You’re lucky for getting to see them; I haven’t done so myself.
Thanks for helping me re-live great musical memories from high school! I’ll go enjoy that music video for “Faint”. =)

Okay, the first sentence was supposed to be “Merely reading ‘Linkin Park’ brought back memories of the particular years in high school when I listened to them.” Sorry for messing up the comments with double posting!
Great blog you have here, btw!

@Maria Celina, Haha, post however many comments you wish. No worries. After all, I wrote “three” instead of “four” in my own post and had to fix it…
If you have the chance to see them — they aren’t touring the U.S. this year though, big bummer — do so! Great show, but the crowd is what makes it. The audience always seems so lively, so into the music, that it’s hard not to sing/scream along the entire show. Very awesome as a live band.
