Tuneage Tuesday — “Need You Tonight”

by Mindy on June 8, 2010

We all remember our very first crush… That boy or girl who caused our heart to flutter unlike ever before.

Well, mine was Michael Hutchence, the lead singer of INXS. Oh yeah, true story. My father even made me an entire VHS tape filled with INXS music videos, making this week’s Tuneage Tuesday one of my favorite thus far. I just can’t believe I didn’t think to feature this amazing band — and really, they hit their prime in the ’80s, if you ask me — sooner! Hutchence may have met quite the untimely death (that’s putting it mildly), but for at least this fan, the music lives on.

As always, share your thoughts about this selection or even spill and let me know who your first crush was.

Oh thats so great! Celebrity crushes… My first crush was my neighbor, how awkward to think about now, we’re best friends! My first celebrity crush was Colin Egglesfield. He was on my soap opera. Gotta love crushes:)

Have a great day!

My first crush was way way back in 1st grade, there was this girl in my class who (according to how my mom tells it at least) I gushed about every day. Now one day on the playground a year later, some older boy pushed her to the ground. Back then I was on the small side yet I punched him once in the mouth and made him cry. I got a kiss on the cheek as thanks and we held hands for the rest of that day. I distinctly remember feeling like I was on Cloud 9. I am going to her wedding in October.

My first celebrity crush? Sigh. I was nine years old when Titanic came out and although I had seen a naked woman before, now puberty was hitting me full force. The rest of the story is a tad TMI.

By far one of the best songs of all time, and the video is just so darn good! Love it!
