If you’ve actually heard of today’s featured band/song, I’ll be damn surprised.
Mest debuted in 1995, but it was nearly a decade before they graced my eardrums, opening for Good Charlotte in concert several years ago. Once I heard them, I was an instant fan. My best friend and I even bought their CD at the concert — and really, who does that? During college, I even ventured through a wicked snowstorm to check out these guys in Allentown, Pa. That trip might’ve ended with an evening at a local hotel, due to the passing blizzard, but it was totally worth the adventure … especially considering the band split up shortly thereafter.
Here’s the tune, “Jaded,” that originally got me hooked.

Not bad. And I can see how these guys would open for Good Charlotte. They’ve got that Good Charlotte/Simple Plan/New Found Glory/etc. sound that was popular a few years ago.

@TOPolk, If you look/listen closely in the video, one of the Madden twins actually sings on this track and is in the video.

Never heard of these guys before, but I enjoyed their sound. I hate it when bands break up, but I especially hate it when you “discover” a band you like only to realize they’ve long since disappeared. : \

@OmegaRadium, I know what you mean. That’s terribly frustrating, but has sadly happened to me quite a few times, especially in this genre.
